The highest goal of any spiritual path is surrender…it is the most potent spiritual action.
Yes, the highest goal of any spiritual path is surrender. It is the most potent spiritual action, offering infinite possibilities and freedom. Surrender is trusting the universe that God or a higher intelligence can achieve anything, even when you cannot foresee the outcome of a situation.
At the spirit level, everything is constantly unfolding perfectly, and you do not have to struggle or force situations to go your way. Only your ego-mind believes you are an isolated person trying to survive in a hostile world. In truth, you are a spiritual being. You free yourself from doubt and fear and release the obstacles your ego has created.
Ways To Nurture Your Spiritual Life
The entire spiritual path could be defined as knowing how to let go, but letting go all at once is impossible. This is a path of many little steps, replacing automatic reactions with deepened awareness. Here are the guidelines along the way that have proved effective and that will work for many people:
1. Know Your Intentions And Set Your Intentions High. Your destiny is to move in your soul’s path, and the fuel that maketh your destiny move is intention. Every day, let go a little bit more, closing the gap of separation that is only a delusion of the ego. Unmask your false preferences, as these can be elusive.
Also, aim to be a miracle worker or a saint. If you know that inner growth aims to gain mastery, ask for that mastery ASAP. Do not strain to work wonders, but do not deny them to yourself. The beginning of mastery is vision; seeing the miracles around you will make it easier for more extraordinary miracles to grow.
2. See Yourself And Everyone Else In The Light. The ego keeps its hold by making you feel powerless and needy. This sense of lack stretches a hunger to have everything in sight. Power, money, sex, and pleasure are supposed to fill the void, but they never really do. You can flee this painful illusion if you see yourself in the light.
On the other hand, everyone lives in the same light. When you are tempted to judge another person, no matter how they deserve it, remind yourself that all are doing the best they can from their level of consciousness.
3. Reinforce Your Intentions every day. Everyday life is a swirling chaos, and the ego is entrenched in its demands. Remind yourself daily of your spiritual purpose. Look closely at yourself, find your center, and never let go of your intention until it feels centered inside yourself.
4. Forgive Yourself. All fall into traps of delusions and selfishness when people least expect it. The chance remark, the careless lie that wounds and the urge to cheat are universal. Forgive yourself for being where you are and apply the same mandate to yourself that you use to others: “I am doing the best I can from my level of consciousness.”
5. Learn To Let Go. The mystery of being spiritual is that you are always correct and consistently wrong at the same time. You are right to get to know God, but you are wrong even to think that things will not change tomorrow. Every stage of inner growth is sound and is nurtured by God, but when it is time to move on, do not hesitate to let go.
6. Revere What Is Holy And Allow The Spirit To Lead. In society, only a few individuals spend much time dipping into the world’s great wealth of scripture. Delving into this treasure will help you open your heart. The words of a sage or saint are the right fertilizer when your soul wants to blossom.
Moreover, most people are addicted to worry, control, micromanagement, and doubt. Resist the temptation to follow these tendencies. Refrain from listening to the voice that says you have to be in charge. Instead, let the Spirit try a new way and be willing to experiment.
7. Embrace The Unknown. Be aware and assured that the unknown is awaiting you. When you feel an uplifting thought, a new impulse, or an insight you have never acted upon, embrace the unknown. Treasure it as tenderly as a newborn baby. God lives in the novel, and you will be accessible when fully embracing it.

I sent a comment in on Craig Downers book, a few days ago. I don’t see it posted yet?
I had to approve this, which I just did, Lee. I will be more attentive to this in the future. Didn’t realize I was the one who had to approve.
